Doctor of Chiropractic
Jonathan Kropf, DC, CCSP, ART
Dr. Jonathan Kropf has an extensive athletic and academic background bringing unique methods for the treatment and rehab of elite athletes, weekend warriors and families to the area. Seventy-percent of his active patients were referred by local specialists and primary care doctors. He has been featured several times as a health care expert on NBC10 Philadelphia news.
Beginning in March 2007, Dr. Kropf went into private practice at Westside Wellness Chiropractic Center in Wayne, PA with his colleague Dr. Todd Serinsky and staff. Previously, he managed a practice in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania beginning in December of 2004. Dr. Kropf was born and raised in the city of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He graduated with a 4 year bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He then earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree after completing 5 academic years of study at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. Prior to settling in Pennsylvania he practiced at Spine and Sports Injury Center in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. He managed a busy, multidisciplinary practice for a year with the 2004 World Champion Red Sox team chiropractor. He has also practiced at Morrison Chiropractic, a busy, well-established chiropractic rehab practice for 2 1⁄2 years in Ellicott City, Maryland.
Dr. Kropf is a CCSP, or Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, specializing in the conservative treatment and rehabilitation of all types of sports injuries including golfing injuries, shoulder injuries, weight training and running injuries. During his first year of practice, he completed a one year post-graduate advanced certification program in Sports Chiropractic through New York Chiropractic College and sponsored by the then chairman of the US Olympic Track and Field Committee. Dr. Kropf is also a Full Body Certified Provider of Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.), a soft tissue management system ideal for the treatment of sports injuries, overuse injuries and nerve entrapments. Soft tissue injuries occur when muscles are short, tight creating a loss of oxygen to the tissue (muscle, nerve, tendon, ligament). This causes the formation of dense scar tissue and adhesions. Unfortunately, the body cannot remove the scar tissue on its own. Active Release Techniques is proven, highly successful therapy to effectively health these injuries without surgery and loss of work. Ninety percent of all professional sports team, including the NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball utilize the services of an A.R.T. certified practitioner.
